About Us

Amy McClure

Amy is a Lyndon State College graduate with a Bachelors of Science in Sports Medicine. Right out of college she worked as an Athletic Trainer for several years before pursuing her passion of teaching fitness classes. Twenty five years ago she began as a certified group fitness instructor, teaching everything from Step Aerobics, PiYo, beginner fitness classes to Bootcamps. From there, Core Fitness was born, and she expanded to working one on one with individuals.

Amy is certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Personal Trainer, and Precision Nutrition as a Nutrition Coach. She specializes in working with women, specifically women over the age of 40, weight loss, functional fitness in advanced aged women, small group training, and nutrition Coaching.

Amy has lived in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont for over 28 years, with her husband and 3 boys. She is an avid mtn biker, kayaker, nordic skier and hockey player and is lucky to call the NEK her home and playground.

Kristin Benton

Kristin ignited her internal fire and dedication to fitness when she joined a PiYo class @ Core Fitness many years ago.  She loved the dynamics of the class, the motivation and was inspired by the group of women participants in which she became a big part of herself.  She was hooked,so she decided to dive all in and get her PiYo certification to be able to teach classes herself. Kristin is certified as a Group Fitness Instructor  through AFAA, and also teaches our the group fitness class , Moxie Fit.
She Makes it her goal to bring enthusiasm, leadership and excitement to every class! Her favorite quotes are, “YOU GOT THIS!”…and “Engage that core” , always said with a smile!
Kristin is a lifelong resident of the NEK and enjoys what all the seasons have to offer her and her husband and 2 daughters.  Aside from her love of PiYo and all fitness endeavors in the studio , she enjoys, swimming, paddle boarding, boating, snowmobiling and camping.
